Jean-Michel Jarre announces a new album: Amazônia

Jean-Michel Jarre has just confirmed on social networks the release, on April 9, 2021, of a new album entitled Amazon.

Jean-Michel Jarre composed and recorded a 52-minute musical score for “Amazônia”, a new project by award-winning photographer and filmmaker Sebastião Salgado, for the Philharmonie de Paris. The exhibition will launch on April 7 and will later travel to South America, Rome and London… “Amazônia” is an immersive exhibition centered on the Brazilian Amazon, with more than 200 photographs and other media by Salgado. He roamed the region for six years, capturing the forest, rivers, mountains and the people who live there, and most of the work will be seen publicly for the first time. At the heart of the exhibition is an invitation to see, hear and reflect on the future of biodiversity and the place of man in the living world. JMJ's sound creations are a symphonic world that will engulf visitors to the exhibition in the sounds of the forest. Using a mix of electronic and orchestral instruments along with other real natural sounds, the score was also recorded in binaural audio, for a truly immersive experience.
